What is Generator Live?
A one-day music event held at Newcastle’s Boiler Shop, Generator Live is the only event of its kind in the region to celebrate and exclusively showcase the sheer volume of talent that the North East has to offer. A collaboration between Generator and BBC Introducing Live is living proof that the North East is teeming with talent on all sides of the Tyne, which is exactly why numerous industry professionals are travelling to witness the talent firsthand.
Where is it?
We are returning to a phenomenal venue integral to Newcastle’s music scene, Boiler Shop.
Who’s playing?
We've recently announced the full line-up, which features L Devine, Finn Forster, The Peevie Wonders, Cortney Dixon, look terrified, Sarah Johnsone and Rivkala.
We’re also very excited that we’ve collaborated with local platform, Nrthrn Baby. Picking three of the North East’s brightest stars, the line-up includes Ne-O, Eyeconic, and Dan Swift.
We’re also featuring local DJ, Alannah Lamb.
Overall, it’s a truly eclectic and inclusive mix of artists designed to showcase some of our tried-and-tested gems, as well as a selection of emerging talent that will likely become your new favourites.

About the organisers:
Originally formed in 1991 and now based on Newcastle Upon Tyne’s quintessential Quayside, Generator is the leading creative talent development agency and an Arts Council National Portfolio Organisation. The organisation delivers a year-round programme of activity ranging from fully funded courses to one-off workshops, seminars, and networking events, as well as a major music festival, which over the years has provided a platform for chart-topping artists including Sam Fender, DuBlonde, and Nadine Shah.
Led by CEO Mick Ross, Generator’s core team is supported by its leadership board and youth advisory board, as well as a number of freelancers and facilitators drawn from across the industry. Generator’s work is generously funded by North of Tyne Combined Authority, Arts Council England, PRS & PPL Foundation, Youth Music, Community Foundation, and the European Union Regional Development Fund. Generator is signed up to the Keychange pledge, ensuring access for all across its programmes and is a living wage employer.

Early bird tickets will be available for £12 + booking fee (£13.20).
General release tickets will be available for £15 + booking fee (£16.50).
Final release tickets will be available for £20 + booking fee (£22.00).
Student discount and young person tickets will be available with proof of eligibility for £8 + booking fee (£8.80).

We have discounted tickets available for students and young people.
Proof of ID will be needed for those under the age of 18 to support eligibility.
Digital proof of student ID (e.g Student Beans and UNiDAYS) will be required for those over the age of 18 for student tickets.

You are permitted to bring a bag no larger than a piece of A4 paper, and they will be searched on entry. Please note, there is no bag storage or cloakroom service.

You can show your ticket on your phone. However, make sure you download it when you have signal, as WiFi and phone signal at the venue can be unreliable.

Illegal drugs / substances, alcohol, opened bottles, knives, sharp objects, weapons, explosives / flares, and glass.

Yes. There's a small ramp just after the main entrance and there are double doors. There's also a platform lift to access the mezzanine level.
There is also a quieter break out space, if you need to take time out.

You must be at least 14 years old to attend, and under 16s must be accompanied by a paying adult.

There is some available parking around the venue (on Forth Street and Forth Banks), and disabled customers can park on Sussex Street by the glass doors, which will take you directly into the venue. There is also a multi-story car park close by at Stephenson's Quarter Multi-story Car Park.
