Generator Live 2024 is proudly presented by Generator in collaboration with BBC Music Introducing. Leading on this year's open call, BBC Music Introducing boasts a longstanding reputation for championing emerging talent. Since its inception in 2007, it has provided support to a diverse array of artists, from Marina and The Diamonds to The 1975.  

We’re immensely proud to join forces, incorporating their professional expertise into Generator Live. Together, we aim to celebrate the abundant talent across the region and provide opportunities for artists from the North East to network, build connections, and showcase their skills in front of industry leaders right here in their hometowns.

GENERATOR LIVE X NRTHRN BABY

This year, Generator Live is thrilled to be collaborating with Nrthrn Baby, a platform that exists to uplift and showcase the region’s emerging artists. Created by Nicola Coaker, this partnership provides audiences with the opportunity to experience the future of the music industry with live performances from NE-O, Dan Swift, and Eyeconic – it's not to be missed. Their mission to connect the dots, create space, and continue pushing for much-needed genre diversity perfectly aligns with ours.

Founded in 1991 and headquartered in Newcastle Upon Tyne, Generator's mission is to create, develop, and maintain a sustainable music industry in the North East that ensures access for all. Our longstanding Generator Live initiative is focused on showcasing the vast array of talent we have in our region, connecting people and communities to our vibrant cultural sector, as well as providing opportunities for local artists to showcase their talent and gain exposure to industry leaders.

CONFERENCE

The ultimate way to kick-start Generator Live - our conference returns for 2024. Featuring inspiring panels, hands-on workshops, and insightful keynotes tailored specifically for artists and creatives aspiring to enter the music business.

Scheduled for 04.10, the day before our showcase at Boiler Shop, the Generator Live Conference will be free to attend. It will unite industry leaders, experts, and grassroots music champions to delve into a wide range of topics. Stay tuned for further details to be released later this year.
